– According to a report by WrestlingNews.co, WWE’s plan for WrestleMania at the moment is a matchup between Logan Paul and John Cena. Paul challenged Cena to a WrestleMania match in November on his podcast, but there hasn’t been any development on the matchup since then. But the matchup is rumored to be scheduled for WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
Fightful Select’s own report on the rumor says there were loose plans for a Cena vs. Paul WrestleMania 39 international match ace of November. However, the report noted that it’s currently unknown where the matchup stands as of this month.
The WrestlingNews.co report is also claiming there will be a WWE Championship match at the event, with Seth Rollins defending against either Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre. How that will work remains to be seen, since Roman Reigns currently holds both the Universal and WWE Championships. While there have been rumors about WWE splitting up the Undisputed Championship again, nothing has been officially announced yet that could hint in that direction.
WrestleMania 39 is scheduled for April 1-2 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The two-night event will be broadcast live on Peacock in the US and the WWE Network everywhere else.
